Review: Acheron

Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow, I read this week’s ago and I am still thinking about it today. This is one of the books that when you come to the end you are sad because the story is over. After all the other books that show Acheron as an “all-knowing god” it was really great to see him as a person and learn about how he became the man he is. This is one of her best books!
Review: Me and My Ghoulfriends

Me and My Ghoulfriends by Rose Pressey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was a great quick read. I really liked the characters. Although, I wish we could have gotten a little more in-depth on some of their motivations. Basically a fun light paranormal romance.
Review: Dark Lover

Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ok so I have to give a shout out to my friends in Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Fanatics on facebook. I gave them a challenge to come up with the next series for me to read, since I just finished Nanowrimo and the Black Dagger Brotherhood won. That was on November 30. I just finished the first book Dark Lover and other than feeding my kids and pretending to work at the office between reading pages on my playbook while the boss (my husband) was watching I could not put it down!!! Sooo hot and good. Now, the formula is very familiar – normal girl finds herself in crazy situation, finds out she is special yada yada. But the writing was wonderful. Humor, and incredible descriptions make you feel like you are really there ‘his abs looked like he was trying to smuggle paint rollers under his skin’. This is a must read! I loved Wrath and the rest of the guys and can’t wait to read the rest.
National Novel Writing Month
I won, I won. Yea!!!! It has been a long month. I have been ill, gone on a two week vacation and came home to my kitchen ceiling in the floor of my kitchen due to a water leak in the room above. I am so proud of myself for not giving up. If I can do it through all that, believe me anyone can do it. The upside is that I think I have some good stuff buried under all those words.
